MS-07R-35 Gouf R35 HG 1/144

The Gouf R35 HG 1/144 has been completed!
The MS-07R-35 Gouf R35 is a custom gunpla from the anime series Gundam Build Fighters. It was built and piloted by Mr Ral. From the earlier episodes, Mr Ral came across as weak fighter who was always trashed by Reiji whenever he practice with him. Imagine my utter shock when he made his entrance in the final episode when he appears as reinforcements to the group together with Maoh's master. They totally destroyed the enemy. That scene alone was considered one of my favourites of the series.    

ARX-014 SILVER BULLET HG 1/144

I have finally completed the Silver Bullet HG 1/144. The Silver Bullet made a brief appearance in the Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn Episode 7 for those who find it familiar. As compared to the other HG 1/144 kits, it is a bit bigger than the others. Overall it has been a fun build.

The ARX-014 Silver Bullet is a variant of the AMX-014 Doven Wolf.
A mobile suit used by the Earth Federation Forces to test the Quasi-Psycommu system, the Silver Bullet is a modified AMX-014 Doven Wolf developed by Anaheim Electronics based on captured units. Although its armament has been trimmed down a little due to its purpose, it is still a high performance MS. The removal of the abdominal mega particle cannons also lightens the suit. Some Silver Bullets have a Gundam head while others have a GM head; the Vist Foundation were given some of them after the EF was done with the tests.

NRX-044 Asshimar HG 1/144

The latest kit to be completed is the NRX-044 Asshimar HG 1/144 from Mobile Suit Gundam Zeta.

This new suit introduced before the Gryps Conflict by the Earth Federation Forces and the Titans was a truly revolutionary suit despite not being the strongest. The Asshimar was an experimental transformable mobile armor developed at the Oakland Newtype Lab. It was the first suit to be able to fly in the atmosphere of a planet on its own power without the help of a sub-flight system

As in the anime, the kit itself is also transformable to MA mode as well.

HG 1/144 LaGowe

My next completed kit is the HG 1/144 LaGowe from Mobile Suit Gundam Seed.
This is quite a unique mobile suit as most of the MS are of humanoid form but the design is based on something like a wolf in terms of appearance and movement.
The LaGOWE is a quadrupedal commander-type mobile suit used by ZAFT and designed for ground combat. The first LaGOWE was assigned to "Desert Tiger" Andrew Waltfeld, whose lover Aisha served as his gunner. It engaged in battle with the GAT-X105 Strike, but was defeated. Waltfeld did survive, but not without the cost of his left arm and eye, while Aisha died in the battle.

OZ-15AGX Hydra Gundam

My latest kit is the OZ-15AGX Hydra Gundam HG 1/144. It is a HG kit, at least that is what it says on the box. This Gundam is from the little known side Gundam Wing story titled New Mobile Report Gundam Wing Dual Story: G-UNIT.  The OZ-15AGX Hydra Gundam (aka Hydra) is a high performance mobile suit assigned to ruthless OZ pilot Valder Farkill.

As this is quite an old kit, you do not find many of them around anymore. I could say the design is pretty interesting. Building this kit piques my interest for the story which I made up my mind to hunt for the manga.

PMX-000 MESSALA HG 1/144 from Gundam Z

The latest completed kit is the Messala from Mobile Suit Gundam Z. This was Paptimus Scirocco first appearance in the mobile suit. As the mobile suit was from Jupiter, the size was comparably larger to the the others. It can be transform to MA mode as well.

Devil Gundam Final Form 1/144 Straight Build

One of the kits in my backlog is the Devil Gundam 1/144. Take note that this the final form that showed up in the last episode of G Gundam, not the monstrosity that showed up in the earlier.

MSA-003 Nemo HG 1/144

The next kit to be completed from my backlog is the MSA-003 Nemo HG 1/144 from the series Mobile Suit Gundam Zeta. Basically it is a grunt unit, actually cannon fodder in the show. But then what is a show without the supporting cast. Anyway the Nemo does not fare badly in the show. The are many variants of the kit, but this time for me, I am going for the basic one.

HG 1/144 Verde Buster Gundam from Gundam Seed Stargazer

As I continue my quest in clearing my huge backlog, the next kit to be completed is the HG Verde Buster Gundam from the Gundam Seed Stargazer series. Personally I think the Gundams from the Gundam Seed series are pretty well designed and the Buster Gundam is one of my favourites. Verde Buster Gundam is an improvement in terms of firepower which in turn please me more.

Grandpa's Gundam - Gundam Age-1 Full Glansa

I know that the series, Gundam Age has its critics (I'm one of them). But put aside the flawed storyline aside, I can say some of the mobile suits' design is pretty good. One of them is the Gundam Age-1 Full Glansa. Basically it is the Age-1 in Full Armor minus its Age Drive component. Furthermore it is piloted by some old-timer(sorry Flit Asuno) in his sixties. That should count for something.
Anyway building this kit allows me to clear my increasing backlog which by the way is HUGE! Hopefully I will be able take this few months to clear a bit of my backlog which means you will may be seeing more kits from Gundam Age and some more way back like Gundam Maxter from Gundam G, some from the 00 Gundam series, just to name a few.

MSM-04G JUAGGU HG 1/144

Finally completed this kit finally. I started work on this soon after I bought it as I thought that its design is pretty unique as compared to the other kits. This kit caught my eye in Gundam Unicorn with its unique design.

Gundam Seed's M1 Astray HG 1/144 Remastered Edition

My newest kit on the completion table is the M1 Astray from the Remaster series, Mobile Suit Gundam Seed. I only had the very basic non-grade 1/144 model before. Thus I was glad I could get my hands on this kit as I always liked its sleek design as a grunt unit.

Gundam Build Fighters Crossbone Gundam Maoh HG 1/144

I have completed the latest GBF (Gundam Build Fighters) kit in my possession, the Crossbone Gundam Maoh. I have always liked the Crossbone Gundam manga series, thus having a kit that is derived from them is pretty cool. I am pretty impressed with  the idea of incorporating the satellite cannon from the Gundam X into the Crossbone Gundam giving it its newest weapon, the Skull Satellite Cannon.

Mobile Suit Gundam 00 's Over Flag 1/100 Non-Grade

I started on this kit as soon I got my hands on them. Granted that this is a pretty old kit, from the Gundam 00 series to be exact. But I have always like its design as it portrays a sleek image. Just a bit of background on the suit.

GBF Sengoku Astray HG 1/144

I have just finished up on the Sengoku Astray Gundam from the Gundam Build Fighters series. This is one of the more popular ones from the show. The kit really exhibits a samurai warrior type of feel.

HGUC 1/144 RGM-96X JESTA CANNON

I have recently embarked on a new build. I really like mobile suits with plenty of firepower. Seems like the Jesta Cannon fits the description.

WIP - GAT-X1022 Blu Duel Gundam HG 1/144 from Gundam Stargazer

I am back to posting the progress of my building of Gunpla. Currently I am working the Blu Duel Gundam from the Gundam Seed OVA, Gundam Stargazer. The Duel Gundam has evolved through the years starting from the Duel Gundam and then upgrading to the Duel Gundam with  Assault Shroud in Gundam Seed. Blu Duel Gundam is the latest incarnation making its appearance in the Gundam Stargazer.
Enough introduction about the kit. I will start off with a pic of the box art.

Work in progress Mobile Sumo 1/144 Part 3 - Final (Gallery)

So far, I have completed the Mobile Sumo from the Turn A Gundam series. This post is essentially the last post of it. This will be a photo gallery post which will include the weapons. I have really enjoyed building it. As it is an old kit, it was quite simple and straightforward in terms of the number of parts. The thing that took up the most of my time is the painting process.

As continued from the last post, I spray painted the runner chrome silver and left it overnight to dry. After that, it is safe to work on the build. I was pretty excited as this would be my first build from the Turn A series. I have watched the series and it was an enjoyable experience. Further more this kit is shiny which adds to my delight.

Work in progress 1/144 Mobile Sumo - Part 1

Although I have mentioned recently that I will be focusing on my SD kits from the Sangokuden series, I cannot help myself when I was looking through my backlogs and found this, the Mobile Sumo from the Turn A Gundam series. It is a no grade 1/144 scale kit. I have bought this on Ebay a couple of years back. This will be my first kit from the series.
