WIP - BB Senshi Sangokuden Sonsaku Physalis Gundam Part 5

Finally I am starting on the final item of the Sonsaku Physallis Gundam. That is the sword. Definitely have to be painted as it comes in plain white.

start by painting the red parts using the red Gundam marker

adding the black

next, continue with silver for the blade using the silver paint marker

finish up with the gold & black with a bit of green

finished product

ready for action!

That's all for now. Waiting for the paint on the sword to dry before tacking pictures for a pic gallery. The next post will most probably take a while as I will be travelling to Kuching for about 10 days.  So I will wish you all Happy Chinese New Year for now. XD

WIP - BB Senshi Sangokuden Sonsaku Physalis Gundam Part 4

Now continuing work on the Sonsaku Physalis Gundam. NOw I am concentrating on the rest of the armor & some of the weapons. Firstly lets start with the shoulder armor.

adding the gold next

setting the armor onto the model

begin on the canon next by painting some parts gold

Adding a bit of gold to the backpack

After that, it's time to work on the shoulder guards. I think they are to be used as weapons like the Tonfa I think.

still left with something missing?

Now I am left with only the sword. Will do it next time as it was geting late. It looks like this kit is turning quite fine. May even become one of my favourites of the Sangokuden series. XD
Just realised that when painting the Sangokuden kits, gold paint is a must. Must remind myself to stock up on more gold paint markers.

WIP - BB Senshi Sangokuden Sonsaku Physalis Gundam Part 3

After a hard day's work, what better way to destress than to continue on my Gunpla. Next on the Sonsaku Physalis Gundam is to work on the helmet. There is a fair bit of painting to be done as I did not want to use the foil stickers provided. Mainly gold, red & blue paint markers are used. Panel lining is done too.

That's all I have done. I admit progress is a crawl but cannot help it. Hope things will get better. Anyway another thing to note that the pics were taken by my new DSLR camera. Hehe... finally in action!

Expo Sale! Gundams Galore!

Found out that there was a Robinsons CNY sale at the Singapore Expo sale last week. So I went bargain hunting with my GF for some CNY shopping. Could not believe my luck when I saw what was on sale too.
What better way to kick start the New Year than with buying new Gundams! The SD Sangokuden kits were selling at SGD$5 each. Same goes for the Keroro kits. There are also HG kits from the Gundam 00 series going for SGD$15 each.

SD Sangokuden Kits - I already have the kits that they were selling

The kits from the Gundam 00 series & the Keroro kits

After looking through the pile, decided on 2 kits which I have been eyeing for some time.

The Garazzo & Sergei's Tieren Taozi

I decided on the Garazzo & Sergei's Tieren Taozi as these are the only 2 I dun have which were on sale.
Actually I want to complete my HG series Tieren set therefore Sergei's version is a must. As for the Garazzo, the kits is way cool with the beam claw. Could not give it  miss as well especially when I already have the Gadessa and Hiling's Garazzo as well.
Thus an addition of another 2 kits to my never ending backlog of uncompleted models.
Really cannot deny the fact that I am addicted to buying Gunpla. Hehe...

WIP - BB Senshi Sangokuden Sonsaku Physalis Gundam Part 2

After a hectic work week, took a little time during the weekend to continue on the Sonsaku Physalis Gundam. Main aim was to finish the whole basic structure without the armor & weapons.

After some panel lining & painting with the foil sticker for the eyes added in as well.

I will be working on the weapons & armor next.
I must confessed that I'm a bit slow in building the models nowadays due to my work schedule. I promised myself that I would make an effort to speed up my building as so to clear the massive backlog that I have.
So until next time.
Ciao!

New Camera!!!

I finally took the plunge and bought my first DSLR camera.
Everybody....... Please meet my new Sony a33.
Decided to purchase this as I became increasingly frustated on the limitations of my previous camera. With this, I can take sharper images.

WIP - BB Senshi Sangokuden Sonsaku Physalis Gundam Part 1

The next kit that I am embarking on is the Sangokuden Sonsaku Physalis Gundam. Just finished two HG kits, thus just wanted to switch to SD kits for some balance. May think about doing a MG kit next.
I forsee quite a bit of painting for this kit. Luckily the base colour is mostly white, therefore should not have much problems.

preparing to paint the chin

the chin painted red
After I painted the chin red, then I realised that I have made an awful mistake. The chin was supposed to be white instead with a bit of red surrounding it. Luckily I had the Mr. Paint Remover. So using a cotton bud clean away the paint. It is quite effective.

Tadah! White again!

Dun like the gold. Going to use my gold paint marker to paint it a nicer shade of gold.

That's all I have done up to this point. Anyway thinking of buying a new DSLR camera, so that I can take sharper photos of my collection. Hehe.. Will make my decision soon.
